Morgan's Raiders escaped from at least two POW camps and they escaped in large numbers. Approximately 100 tunneled their way out of Camp Douglas, but there is no way to be certain because they did not snitch on themselves and the Yankees kept such poor records of people. They did a good inventory on the meager rations.
