George, after re-reading your post he died in 1919 in Delta County, Texas.............And he witnessed at least two pensions for soldiers after 1901. Still confused. LOL

But I did see on ancestry where Wright S. Miller died in Lamar County, Texas on June 2, 1919. With as much misinformation that was on his Union tombstone application I can see how he may not have died in 1901 as reported. The tombstone was made at the Columbus, Mississippi Marble Company and shipped to Jim Miller in Cabool, Missouri located in Texas County in 1940.

The truck driver also lives in Cabool, Missouri and said his family even donated part of their family lands back in the day to the cemetery.
