It is my understanding from the time of secession up until the WBTS started that representatives of the Confederate government and the Federal government meet with the intention of restoring/ maintaining peace.

My question is this-- does anyone know where I can read the proposals offered by each side?

Does anyone know what the Confederate peace delegation was to offer Lincoln on the night he ordered the fleets to sail???

Any info on these negotiations would be helpful.
