Terry I'm somewhat familiar with you ancestor John T. Sirmans. His name was and is misspelled on his tombstone at Chase.

I believe he was with old Company C of the 29th which subsequently became new Company G.

Was he from Berrien County, Georgia? Do you know how his name was spelled in the pre-war census reports?
