I'd appreciate any info on this soldier. One source has him in the 4th Tennessee Cavalry. I fail to locate him there. He reportedly was killed at Chickamauga, and his body brought home by his slave that grew up with him. (from Hamilton County I believe). I suppose he could have been in a Texas regiment under Forrest? Those units combined pretty often.
