Oliver Cromwell, famed leader of the Parliment side of the English Civil War, has his followers and haters in the UK. His statues have been rejected and moved serveral times over the last 100 years or so. The Royal Navy had to change plans naming a new battleship after him. However, one of the first ships of the Continental Navy was the (USS) Oliver Cromwell. So another Civil War has its image problems too.
