While staying in Jackson County, Missouri I ran across a fellow who had an ancestor named Private George Kurth of Company I of the 18th Wisconsin Infantry. He was taken POW at Allatoona, Georgia on October 5, 1864. I gave him this site to ask for help in getting his ancestors pension records. What I did not realize until now was that his ancestor was also a survivor of the Sultanna.
