Yes, George very aware of this story. In fact I made a special trip to Red River County, Texas to visit an ancestor of John (really spelled as Goodlow) The old black man was in his late 90's about twenty years ago and told me that John Goodlow was not his blood. I did not understand until he told me that he shared the Goodlow surname and that was all. Many slaves were not born into the slaveholders family but rather bought and put together with the rest of the slaves. I believe I know where John Goodlow is buried but have not had a lot of time which I will need to find his body. There were a few blacks who died at Camp Chase and at least one native American Indian probably a Choctaw from Mississippi.
