Did Sherman have an order #11 to Ewing? If so can someone post a link from the OR? In part this order said --

There is a class of people (in the South), men women and children, who must be killed or banished before you can hope for peace and order.”

I cannot find this order but did find a letter to Stanton which this comment is found.
