Who was better?

In case one of you get into a debate with some European historian...

Which armed forces were better... The CSA, USA (or both) or the European powerhouse the Kingdom of Prussia, in the years 1864-65?

The Prussians are touted was superior to all armed forces in Europe at the time, with their professional army, bolt action Dreyse rifles, and breech loading Krupp howitzers. However, from what I have been able to research their lack of> superior cavalry tactics; interior line of communication/supply protection; superior field artillery/tactics and most of all... the ability to live off the land and move armies across undeveloped lands would put them at a large disadvantage against seasoned American troops of the same era.

The Prussians had it very easy in Europe with all the major roads paved and wide, and a well stocked village or town every mile so; they needed no baggage trains to haul tents or personal equipment and enemies that were fighting in the style of Napoleon I instead of modern tactics.

Anybody with better ideas or argument?
