It is not just politics but Southern or Confederate heritage under attack since the renaming of the bases is part of the bill. Besides it is the politics of the natio0n and different states that have taken down and renamed many schools, streets and monuments named after Confederates. I have no idea what the new names of these bases will be but you can almost bet they will not be named after a Southerner. Now suppose we start renaming some sites named after Union men???
