Re: 50 years after Civil War..slavery not dead....

Well as a welder fitter I have been places no slave would go, pre-heat 300 dg, inside on my belly smoke and dust eating, come home 4 knuckles blistered to the point of having to wear bandages. Gotta face the same thing again tomorrow for another 10 hours. Addicted to having food and a roof over my families head. Now I am deaf and blind back, knees and feet give me trouble.

Now you have to remember the war wasn't about slavery, no, not at all.
