Seeking information on the route taken by Sherman after he left Columbia and was headed towards NC. If I'm not mistaken, he sent a detachment to Florence, SC. Did any of this detachment make camp on Lynches River, in an area between what is now HWY 401 and HWY 76. HWY 401 is in Darlington County and HWY 76 is in Florence County. Help me if you can. Dwight
