Re: Henry H. Harper, 14th S.C. Inf.

"HARPER, HENRY HOLCOMB. Capt., Co. I, 14th S.C., at July 1861 org. Major - late 1863. Wded. four times, and imprisoned at Fortress Monroe for 'several months.' The absence of a Compiled Service Record on Harper makes his traces indistinct. Lowndesville farmer. In S.C. legisl., 1858-61 and 1878-80."
Krick, Robert K., LEE'S COLONELS, (Dayton, OH: 1979), p. 164.
