The Daughters of the Confederency (Charleston) had the soldiers removed from where they were buried at Gettysburg and reinterred in Magnolia Cemetery is Charleston in 1881. A section of the cemetery is devoted to SC soldiers killed at Gettysburg and individual stones were placed for each soldier.

Thanks for the information on the book. I will have to find a copy of it.
