The South Carolina in the Civil War Message Board

SC's RW History coverup

Did you know that the South's Revolutionary War history was taken out of history books due to the Civil War. When you hear about the American Revolution is always pertains to places up North and nothing is mentioned of the larger part of the war fought in the South.

The Lionshare of the battles fought in the American Revolution were fought below the Mason-Dixon. South Carolina was the most hotly contested state of the entire war with close to 300 battles! Georgia even had a huge battle in Savannah. Charleston SC was also a good sized battle where the entire Southern Continental army was forced to surrender.

I know that this is a Civil War site, but don't neglect these Civil War soldiers grandfathers contributions either.
The South is waking up to her Revolutionary War Heritage.
