Civil War Graves-Camp Adams Run

I need your help in saving some graves if possible.

My great grandfather Corp. William C. Puckett was wounded and died at Camp Adams Run, South Carolina on January 1, 1863. I went to Adams Run, South Carolina out side of Charleston off Highway 17 and found what is called Old Military Road which is where the camp was located in 1863 I found somone is logging in that area.

Please tell me what or whom I can contact to find out where the graves are or were it was raining the day I was there and the man I talked with said his grandmother knew about that area but she was not home.

Please I need your help before the area is completely logged and all is destroyed.

Thank you,
Margie Puckett King
