Where Buried?

While researching the Third Michigan Battery and the engagements that it was in during the Carolina's Campaign, I found that one of the Union Cannoneers, Pvt. John L. Huntley, died on Febuary 28th, 1865 about 15-18 miles from Cheraw, S.C. somewhere close to Lynch Creek. Can anyone tell me if Huntley was buried there or if there is a marker for him in a local Cemetery? I have been in contact with decendents in Michigan and they would be interested to know.
