I noticed your two and a half year old posting on Fort Harrison. If you are ever in the Richmodn area, I strongly suggest you visit the Fort Harrison unit of the Richmond National Battlefield Park. Much of the earthwork and adjoining trenches are preserved in a very peaceful and little visited spot. You are within ten miles of downtown Richmond and its almost like being in another world. Sadly, it is not very well visited, and its a shame, for the NPS has done an excellent job in preserving but not overbuilding. It is well worth a visit,and unlike some of the more visited spots such as Gettybburg or Manassas, you won't get trampled by the crowds.
