The time of the attack (5 PM), and the topography make it seem like Gaines Mill. Crest of the hill (which would be the top of the hill leading down to Baotswain's Swamp)where they met the first fire, then crossing the ravine, and the two lines. But Benning was still a regimental commander at that time, if I recall correctly. Were the Georgians engaged next to Alabama troops? A guess, but the time and the geography seem to fit as well as any place they were engaged.
