Need information on William Benjamin Smith, of the Edgefield/Abbeville area. I think he was in the Palmetto Sharpshooters 1st Battn. William was born c1828. His mothers name was Eliza Bunting Smith, father was Thomas Smith

He had a brother James McPhearson Smith that also served in a CSA unit from S. C. Any information on either would be appreciated.
