The NPS will conduct a ranger guided car caravan tour of the Wauhatchie/Lookout Valley battlefield sites beginning at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 28, starting at the Chattanooga Nature Center parking area on Garden Road, near Chattanooga. Jenkins' (Bratton's) South Carolina brigade played a pivotal role; this brigade was composed of the Palmetto Sharpshooters, the 1st S.C. (Hagood's), the 2nd S.C. Rifles, the 5th S.C., the 6th S.C., and the Hampton Legion.
