Additional S.C. Burials in Georgia

I recently found a few additional burial cards which I had not filed for Souht Carolinians who are buried in Georgia. They include:

1 S.C.: Bates, Staten; Co A; 24 Jan 43-22 Jan 99; Bethel "M" Bap, near Danielsville, Madison County

6 S.C.: Covington, John William; Co G; 11 Nov 46-12 Apr 17; Sandy Springs Meth, Sandy Springs, Fulton County.

15 S.C.: Derrick, David I.; Co G; 27 Aug 41-4 Aug 26; St. Marks Luth, at Botsford Community, near Plains, Sumter County. (I previously reported his name as "David S. Derrick."

20 S.C.: Giles, Francis A.; Co B; 5 Mar 42-28 Apr 86; bur Oak Grove Ceme, Americus; his surname is also given as "Gyles" in Sumter County, Ga. records.

21 S.C.: James, W. P.; Co L; bur Midway Meth/Dorough Family Ceme, near Cordele, Crisp County; a second marker is found as W. P. James, Co L; bur Zion Hope Ceme, near Arabi, Crisp County.

26 S.C.: Yarbrough, John Edward; Co H; 1837-1927; Red Hill Bap, near Odum, Wayne County

26 S.C.: Yarbrough, N. G.; Co H; bur George Family Ceme, near Jesup, Wayne County; he is shown as "Rev.", but without giving a denomination. I suspect that he was a brother to J.E.Y, above, and that he was a Baptist Minister, but that is speculation.

Hampton Legion Infantry: Dorn, William R.; 1 SGT; Co B; 16 Jun 36-15 Jun 07; bur Friendship Bap, Concord Community, Sumter County; he was born in Edgefield District, and moved to Georgia postwar, where he served one term as County Commissioner.

Hampton Legion Mounted Infantry: Tindal, Richard W.; Co C; 1847-1924; Jesup Municipal, Jesup, Wayne County; born Sumter (later Clarendon) District; moved to Georgia postwar, where he was in the sawmill business

Holcombe Legion Infantry: Watson, Francis Marion; Co F; 20 Feb 44-28 May 20; Loganville Municipal, Loganville, Walton County.

1 S. C. ART: Curtis, John; 20 Dec 39-13 Aug 20; bur Westview Ceme, Atlanta
