Looking for any info on a J.Erwin Galloway. I believe he served in the 6th regiment, Whites Battalion Company C. According to his Confederate Pension Application, he was b. July 4, 1823. However while researching him through the SC census records, his date of birth is all over the place....don't know it if was census takers mistakes or maybe Erwin just didn't know when he was actually born. He died in 1924....and if this is true....he would have been a very old man! Any info on this man would re greatly appreciated.
