I am currently researching the Battle of Wyse Fork (Kinston, NC), March 8-10, 1865 and the SC regiments that fought there.

In particular I looking for information in regards to the numbers of men which were left in the Brigade after the Capture of Fort Fisher. I know the remnants of the 11th, 21st, 25th and 27th SC Regiments were consolidated into one unit under the command of LTC Rion from the 7th SC Inf Bn. In Genl. Hagood's Memoirs, pg. 351 he mentions 500 strong.

For those of you who have been studying the said regiments do you find this number accurate?

If you can assist me with this or other information pertaining to the Wyse Fork fight I would be very thankful.
