I received your email requesting info on my 14th SCVI ancestor.

My ancestor was Nathan Bodie, Edgefield District. He was wounded at Spotsylvania, sent to a hospital in Richmond, where he was released back to SC, receiving his back pay upon release.

He was assigned to the Columbia "infirm" group camp (don't have the records right in front of me for the official name)for several months and then was discharged from the army due to his injury right before the end of the war.
