Lee: Just finished following up researchng a tidbit in the Confederate Veteran, Year 1900, page 210. The article identifies a statement by Mrs. A.G. Robertson of Columbia, South Carolina regarding the death of two brothers, (sons of Mrs. Pierce Butler), "Edward and Lowden Butler" during the war.
I am sure you have seen this so to save time, let me say I found:

Lt. Col Louden Butler, 19th Louisiana Inf. killed at Chickamauga, Georgie.

His brother, (I believe) was Edward Butler, Co. H. 1st South Carolina Inf, (Gregg's)-No Roster Information available at this time.

The story of their Mother having the bodies of her two sons arriving at their home on the same day from such diverse time and distances sounds unusual.

What do you think? Do you need a copy of said article?
