I recently came across some information that confirmed that my great-great-grandfather, Charles Whitworth Mason, joined F Company, Orrs 1st Rifle Regiment, on 3 July 1861 and was with that unit until their surrender at Appomattox on 9 April 1865. I am interested in finidng out if anyone has any record of my G-G-Grandfather in any documents (public or private) from that time period. Thanks you.
