Hello to all! I'm new at this so please have patience. I purchased at an SC auction a bowie knife with Gettysburg info stamped into the handle as well as in the blade.It has the manufacturer name at the base of the blade 1862 Richmond . Has The name Samuel Weeks stamped on the blade, and Gettysburg July 3 1863 on it's handle. Honor before death is also on the handle.SC Co G 14 also on the handle. Researh shows-- info-- I found a Samuel Weeks that did fight at the battle of Gettysburg, but he was from SC Co 15... Can anyone point me to somewhere or someone that might could verify any of this, or do I have a reproduction knife with a reinactor name??? Thanks genedavis50@hotmail.com I can send close up photo's,
