Hello Iam researching my family History , I have 2 Great Grandfather who served in the Civil wWar in the Confederate Army
Iam having trouble finding history on them both. If Any one could give me any kind of information on them . It would be very much appreciated

Wiley Drayton O'Shields/Osheals born july 27 1832-death Oct 31 -1882 he was born and died in Spartanburg S,C

Age 31 enlisted in the Confederate Army by Col, P,F Stevens of the Holcombe legionat Camp Walsh
as a Private , He was assigned to Company A, under William J Smith --his physical decription was listed AGE 31 HEIGHT 6.1 Black hair Blue eyes fair complexion Occupation --Farmer Drayton was medically discharged his address was listed as Walnut Grove areas in Spartanburg S,C where he had a wife and 6 sons he died in 1882, His youngest son was my grandfather Wiley G.S O'Shields born 1863 he was later the County Auditor for Spartanburg
My maternal Great grandfather was Berry Riddle born 1824 in Laurens Co S,C
Private he was in Comapny B 22nd S,C Regiment he was reported missing at the mine explosion in Virginia on July 30 1864, he was married to Josie Eleanor Wilson Riddle born 1828 he left 5 children in Laurens S,C My grandfather Calvin M Riddle born 1859 being the Youngest, I am a member of the Son of the Confederate veterans AND ALSO A VETERAN MYSELF .I would appreciate any help with information on these two soldier.s who stood up for states rights so I could serve their memories with the honor and respect all of the men in uniform who fought for our Freedom, Thanks POSHIELDS @YAHOO .COM
