I am interested in information others have beyond the excellent work of Michael Preist, James Clary, Kurt Graham, and Sam Davis on South Carolina units fighting at Fox's Gap on September 14 during the battle of South Mountain. My special interest focuses on the 3rd (James) Battalion, which practically ceased to exist by the end of the fight.
