I am trying to locate the exact location of Gregg's Brigade atop the "rocky knoll" at 2nd Manassas 29 August 1862. I was there Saturday, 19 July and was in the general area of Jackson's far left in that engagement, but not seeing any markers/monuments, could not locate it. It was there my Great-Grandfather Pvt Charles S.Davis of Orr's Rifles was wounded. Can anyone help me locate that exact hill so I can return and pay homage?
