Re: Grave of Capt. C.C. White, 10th SC

I checked his service record file and found some 65 cards!! The last recorded note of him being Absent, wounded, dated September 18, 1864 having previously been sent to hospital April 18, 1863 by order of Regimental Surgeon.

There is a two page written report from his Brigade commander commending him for his performance at Murfreesboro as 1st Lt., commanding Company A, a remarkable story!

His file records his name as Charles Carroll White who rose from 1st Sergeant, age 36, on July 14, 1861 to Captain, January 27, 1863.
