There was no real "Battle of Columbia" the CSA was in retreat and made no major stand at Columbia .. there were small delaying skirmishes as the union forces approached the city ... but basically they evacuated the city.

The "Battle for Columbia" held may 1st and 2nd 2004 was a "Living History" event for the whole family. It included food venders, live blue grass music, period Sutlers, a petting zoo (goats), period reenactor camp sites, a mounted artillery display, and changing scenario battles with ground troops (US & CS), artillery, horses and defensive works.
