Broadfoot's Roster of SC Confederate Troops lists a PVT Charles W. PEABODY, Co. H, 1st (Orr's) SC Rifles. He is the only PEABODY listed. Co. H (Pee Dee Guards) was raised in Marion District (County), which is adjacent to Marlboro.
