Some years ago, Randolph Kirkland (author of BROKEN FORTUNES and DARK HOURS) gave me a xerographic copy of JUST JUDGMENT, a compilation of local names of SC Confederate units, company commanders, camps, and a chronology of significant dates/events of the war in SC. It's an invaluable reference for SC researchers, but so far as I know, it's never been published. It lists five (5) Camp Greggs, all associated with the 13th SC Infantry: No. 1--Combahee Ferry, Beaufort Dist., SC; No. 2--Green Pond, Colleton Dist., SC, 15 Jan 62-15 Feb 62; No. 3--Caroline City, VA; No. 4--near Petersburg, VA, 30 Dec 62-25 Apr 63; No. 5: Fredericksburg, VA, 15 Mar 63-15 Apr 63 (sic).
