There is a marker for him in the Grantieville Cemetery, Graaniteville, Aiekn County, at his home. I do not know if it is a cenotaph, or if his body was brought back for burial, but probably the latter, since the Confederates held the field, and his family could afford to pay for the costs of shipping the body home for burial.
