Choice's Memoir was written ca 1896, and appears to be generally corroborated by contemporary source material. The only error which jumps out is that he (or his sister) called the battle of Wauhatchie "Vicksburg." Bound copies of the typescript are at the Kennedy Room, Spartanburg County Library, and the South Carolina Room, Greenville County Library.
