The South Carolina in the Civil War Message Board

Report of the SoCar Hospital

There was a publication - "Report of the South Carolina Hospital Aid Association in VA 1861 - 1862"
MacFarlane and Fergusson 1862.

This publication details the "South Carolina" hospitals that were set up in VA by the ladies of South Carolina.
At the back of the booklet are individual pages listing the soldiers that died at each "hospital".

According to excerpts from this publication the Warren Springs Hospital was a three story house; Dr. William Post was in charge as surgeon, assisted for a while by Dr. F. M. Robertson. Supervisor Rev. G. W. Hicks and his assistant Mrs. Waites (or Mrs. Waties). The hospital was opened in Nov 1861 and received 174 patients, of whom 20 died.

Mrs. Waites died at this hospital and may be buried in the same cemetery.

I am looking for a listing of the soldiers that died at this Warren Springs "South Carolina Hospital" and ANY indication of where they were buried, as well as Mrs. Waites
