I am looking for any information available on Francis Willian Hoare Symes, sometimes spelt "Sims", who enlisted in Company "D", 22nd South Carolina Infantry as a Sergeant; and was later promoted to a 2nd Lieutenant. I am especially interested in knowing when he was born and where, when and where he enlisted and any information on his life before and after the war.
