Have a ancestor who enlisted in the Holcombe Legion, Co. F, in Abbeville on August 4, 1863. His name was William McIlwaine. He later was captured at Jarretts Depot in May of 64 and was sent to and died in Elmira. Was wondering if any of his prople still reside in SC. I have an interesting picture that I would like to share with any of the family that are interested.

Also trying to find a good reference for info on the Holcombe Legion.
