I seem to recall hearing/reading that following the surrender at Durham Station, NC, in Apr 1865, several routes were designated for soldiers to use in returning home to SC in order to minimize congestion. Does anyone have information on these routes, or is it just another manifestation of my ever-increasing CRS?
