I am trying to verify that my GGgrand father Henry Starnes and his brother Joseph Wesley Starnes were enrolled in the 3rd SC infantry regiment, company D. Company D was enrolled at Cross Anchor, SC on April 14, 1861. (Cross Anchor was only 5 miles from their Cross Keys home.)

Henry Starnes was killed at Reams Station, VA on Sept. 15, 1864. J Wesley returned to Union Co., SC after the war.

I have been unable to find a Company D roster as of yet.
