Albert Washington Myers, Boykin's Riflemen

Hi, SC! Can't find any service records for Albert Washington Myers, whose obit states that he supposedly died in service on Dec. 18, 1862, in camp with his command -- "Capt. E.M. Boykin's Company of Mounted Riflemen," a SC command. I have looked every way I can imagine on Fold3, but to no avail. Trying to help a descendant find his military records. Any help greatly appreciated! -- Jim Huffman, Egypt, TX (formerly of Pearl River County, MS). His find-a-grave memorial page and obit can be found at: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/53141179/washington-myers
