Albert became subject to Military Service under the Second Conscription Act, passed April 26, 1862 when the age limit was raised from 35 to 45 years. He would have turned 39 on November 21. He died just 4 weeks later, most likely of some communicable camp disease. I suspect this was before he may have been recorded on his companies next bi-monthly muster report.
