Request for information and assistance

Hello all and Happy New Year,

My father and I have been doing a great deal of genealogical research...

I'm a descendant of Maj. General John F Reynolds, killed July 1, 1863 during the Battle of Gettysburg. I'm a direct descendant of Robert A Reynolds, my great, great, great, great grandfather who fought with the 171st Regiment PA Vol. Inf., Co. F under Capt William McClellan and for the 101st Regiment, PA Vol. Inf under Capt. Levi Musser. He was in and around New Bern, NC, Suffolk, VA, Roanoke Island and Moorehead City, NC...
I've found that in April, the 20th, to be exact, 1864, most of his regiment was captured and sent to Andersonville Prison. I'd like to see if anyone has information pertaining to this.

Also, got lucky over the weekend and found two more relatives, cousins...Chappel Reynolds who was a 3rd Lt., brevetted to 2nd Lt., he fought with Co A 8th South Carolina Vol. CSA... he was captured in July, 1863 during the Battle of Gettysburg and sent to a Union prison in Johnson's Island, OH where he died. Also, David Crockett (Middleton)? Reynolds, a private with Co. E, 3rd Palmetto Battalion, S. Carolina Light Artillery, CSA.

I'm looking for any information available on these individuals or areas.
Also, I'm looking to form a committee to hopefully begin a new non profit organization designed to build interest and involvement in children towards historical preservation, education, volunteerism and fundraising. I have many ideas and would like to brainstorm and implement these programs with like minded individuals.
Please contact me at reynoldsdescendant@netzero.com with any info or interest.

Thank you everyone!

Take care,
Danielle Costa
