Hi, I have a civil war leather fuse or primer box. On the back the original owner (I assume) scribed his name and regiment. The name Karl Hohn CSA 4, the rest is hard to read. Anyway I checked with Civil War Soliers and Sailors system and found a Carl A.Hahn of Bachman's company South Carolina Artillery or German light artillery out of Charleston. The spellings are different, but could they be the same person? I'm new to genealogy and not sure where to start. Any information would greatly be appreciated, thanks Walt.
