I am looking for descendants of patients who were transfered from Wayside Hospital in Charleston, SC to Summerville General Hospitals and died there may be buried in this cemetery. We have pin-pointed the area the cemetery may be in but I am hoping to contact any descendants of these soldiers whose remains may have not been shipped home. Since this cemetery is supposeably near the old rail line it may have been easy to ship the remains home but we have a UDC document which states that the UDC C. Irvine Walker Chapter # 190 decorated the graves of 32 Confederate soldiers in what was named by them as Oak Grove Cemetery. This cemetery area may be on land now owned by Westvaco and a person from the Ridgeville area. We have asked permission from the "private owner" to scrape the land and this patient register will be a major help in this project.
