I have no definite information on the chapter, but I suspect that it was (is?) located in Newberry. William LESTER (1819-1886) was a farmer from Newberry Dist. who was elected captain of Co. G (DeKalb Guards), 13th SC Infantry, in 1861, and rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel of the regiment. He is buried in Prosperity, SC.
