John Harvey Loomis, Hayne Loomis, Charles E.Loomis

I am a collateral ancestor of the three individuals listed above. All were born born in Columbia, SC. Their Father, Cyrenius Loomis, was a marshal for SC College. He died in 1864 and is buried in Elmwood Cemetery with his wife, Leah, and a daughter Mary Bennett. Hayne was killed at Petersburg on 28 July 1864. John Harvey was captured at Culpeper Court House and was a POW at Point Lookout. He married an Eliza Augusta Hendrix and settled in Aiken where they are buried with their children in Bethany Cemetery. John died around 1912. I believe Charles ended up in the Atlanta area after the war.

I am trying to find any living descendents of these individuals. If any do survive in SC, I am sure they are living in North Augusta or Aiken, SC; or maybe in Augusta GA. It would be neat to find them and learn more about these men, and I have information on the origins of our main family tree that I could share. Please contact me if any of this rings any bells.

Thanks!
